Privacy Policy
We are Nest In. We manage homes and host guests in El Gouna, Egypt. Nest In was founded by Clémence and Filippos, and our local team lives here in El Gouna. We are hosts, not a front desk, and we treat your personal information the same way we treat our guests, with care and respect.
This policy is published by Nestin Hotel Apartment Rentals, Commercial Registration No. 281204, 1 Airport Road, Royal Business Building, Hurghada, 1950003, Egypt. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean that company. It explains what information reaches us, how we use it, and the choices you have. It is governed by the law of Egypt, including Egypt’s Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 151 of 2020). If you live in the European Union, the General Data Protection Regulation also protects you, and this policy explains your rights under it.
What information we receive and how
Almost everything we know about you, you tell us yourself. When you message us on WhatsApp, send us an email, or call us, we receive your name, your contact details, and whatever you choose to share, such as your travel dates, your questions, or details about your home if you are an owner.
Our website works a little differently from most, in a good way. The contact form, the question form on each home page and the form for owners who would like to sell their home store nothing on our servers. When you tap send, the form simply composes a WhatsApp message on your own device and opens WhatsApp for you. The website itself keeps no copy. From there, the conversation continues on WhatsApp, by email, or by phone.
This website takes no bookings and no payments. The Book now buttons open our booking engine, which is run by Guesty, and you can also book directly with our team on WhatsApp. When you book through the booking engine, it collects and handles your booking and payment details under its own privacy policy. It then shares with us the details we need to welcome you, such as your name, your dates, and how to reach you.
WhatsApp and email are services run by their own providers. Messages you send there are also covered by those providers’ own policies. When you use a button that opens WhatsApp, the details you typed travel through a WhatsApp address on the way, so they pass through WhatsApp before they reach us.
Some of our pages show a map, so you can see where a home sits. The map images are drawn by OpenStreetMap, a non profit mapping project. Loading them means your browser asks OpenStreetMap for the picture tiles, so it receives your IP address, in the same way any website you open receives it. OpenStreetMap sets no cookies through these maps, does not track you across websites, and does not use this for advertising. Its own privacy policy covers what it keeps.
How we use your information
We use your details to answer you, to arrange and host your stay, and to manage the homes in our care. If you are a home owner, we use them to talk with you about your home and our work together.
That is the whole list. We never sell your information. We do not use it for advertising and we do not send newsletters.
We rely on the steps you ask us to take: when you write to us about a stay, a home or a sale, we use your details to answer and to prepare what you asked for. Where the law requires records, for example for guests staying in Egypt, we keep them because we must.
How long we keep it
We keep your messages and details for as long as we need them to answer you and to host your stay, and longer only when the law requires it. You can ask us to delete them at any time, as explained below.
Where your information goes
Our team works in Egypt, so the details you send us reach Egypt. WhatsApp, email, our hosting provider Vercel and our booking engine Guesty run their own services, which can be located outside the European Union. Each of them handles what passes through it under its own privacy policy.
Cookies
This website sets no cookies for visitors. There are no advertising trackers and no analytics cookies. You can browse every page without being followed.
The only cookies on the site are login cookies for the Nest In staff area, so our own team can sign in. Visitors never receive them.
Our website is hosted on Vercel. Like almost every hosting provider, Vercel keeps standard server logs, which can include your IP address and the pages you request. These logs exist to keep the site secure and working, and Vercel handles them under its own policy.
Sharing
We share your details only with the people who need them to make your stay happen. For example, if you ask us to arrange a transfer or an activity, we pass your name and meeting details to that partner so they can look after you. We only do this when you ask for the service.
We may also share information when the law requires it, for example with the authorities in Egypt when we have a legal obligation.
We never sell your details and we never give them to advertisers.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us what information we hold about you. You can ask us to correct it or to delete it, or to stop using it. Write to us and we will take care of it, unless the law requires us to keep something.

Children
Our website is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Families are very welcome in our homes, but bookings and conversations happen with adults.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example when the website gains new features. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. The version on this page is always the current one.
